At Aboutly, we respect your right to privacy and provide full control over your personal information.
If you no longer wish to use Aboutly or want your data permanently removed from our systems, you may request deletion of your account and all associated information at any time.

This page explains the available methods to delete your data in compliance with the UK GDPR, Meta’s Data Deletion Policy, and Aboutly’s Privacy Notice.

  1. Data Covered by Deletion

When you delete your Aboutly account, we will permanently erase:

  • Your profile and account information.
  • Bookings, appointments, and linked client data.
  • Uploaded content, custom links, and analytics.
  • Email and notification data stored via Resend.
  • Authentication and analytics data stored via Firebase.

Some data (such as invoices or payment records processed via Stripe) may be retained for a limited period to comply with legal, financial, or regulatory obligations.

  1. How to Delete Your Data

Option 1 – Delete Directly from Your Dashboard (Recommended)

You can delete your account instantly using the built-in account management feature:

  1. Log in to your Aboutly account at https://profile.aboutly.io/dashboard.
  2. Scroll to the “Danger Zone” section at the bottom of your dashboard.
  3. Click “Delete Account”.
  4. Confirm your decision when prompted.

Once confirmed, your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted from our systems. This process is instant and irreversible.

Option 2 – Request Data Deletion by Email

If you prefer to request deletion manually, please send an email to:

with the subject line:
“Data Deletion Request.”

Include the following details for verification:

  • The email address associated with your Aboutly account.
  • (Optional) A short note confirming you wish to delete your data permanently.

We will confirm receipt within 48 hours and process your request within 7 business days. Once completed, a confirmation email will be sent to you.

  1. Important Notes
  • Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
  • After deletion, any linked public pages or Aboutly profile links will immediately become inactive.
  • Payment or tax records processed via Stripe may be stored securely for up to 7 years, as required by UK law.
  • Data stored in backups may take up to 30 days to be fully purged from our systems.
